What to expect
Pain, stiffness and discomfort may be some of
the symptoms you are experiencing when you visit us and your
physiotherapist will ask you a series of questions related
to your problems, work and activities to help diagnose the
cause of the symptoms. A detailed physical examination will
follow. We will explain the diagnosis and discuss with you
the treatment plan. Treatment will start immediately; your
first visit will take approximately 45 minutes and
subsequent visits will be up to 30 minutes.
A full range of treatments is available including joint manipulation or mobilisation, massage, ultrasound and usually includes advice and a home exercise programme if appropriate.
Your Initial Consultation and Treatment
A detailed history will be taken, followed by a thorough assessment of your condition. You will receive expert advice and a treatment. Your treatment plan will then be discussed with you and this may also include Pilates, massage therapy and acupuncture, if appropriate.
